I'm wondering what the good folk from CD think about this rental I'm calling about - The area is near downtown and pretty. While I've read Shore Ac is a flood zone, it's a rental, so not so worried.

Initially looked at condo rental, apartment but for the same price, house seems smarter.

Thoughts? Thanks all.

Not a bad location - not sure about how it would be if you are looking for schools for children though. Handy for downtown, sometimes some roads flood slightly when it rains heavily, but locals have generally figured out how to circumnavigate those.

Very sweet rental. Nice neighborhood, close to downtown. Just plan ahead in case of a rain event. Have a plan where you'll go if you need to get out and/or if you're out and can't get home. And have renter's insurance in case water gets in the house for your furniture. Good luck. I think you'll like it there.

When price is good I normally suggest to make sure the place is not in default and the owner is not under foreclosure. In this case it looks like it's managed by company, so it should be good. Zillow estimates rental price o be $1500. The fact this unit is still available after been in hot rental market for 2 weeks tells it's either too expensive or already unavailable.

Perhaps it best to look for rentals a few blocks away from the water. Looks even nicer and less flooding, the NE streets.
