Apartments in Tampa (Gandy: lease, condos, house)

Anyone have recommendations for an apartment in Tampa fairly close to MacDill AFB? Prefer controlled access and broadband internet with no long term lease. Middle-aged class B bachelor for awhile so prefer to avoid "party apartments". Safe and quiet is nice though I wouldn't mind walking distance to a bar or two :} Assuming the new job works out I'll be looking to buy a house in the Summer so don't want a long-term lease.

Check off Westshore Blvd south of Gandy(Camden Apts) there are three different ones-Preserve, Westshore and Bayside it think), thre is also South Pointe on Himes Ave, and a few on MacDill Ave south of Gandy. Many have been converted to condos, so i'd check the local paper(tbo.com) or craigslist. Another on Westshore north of Gandy is The Cove, walking distance to MacKenzies, Green Iguana, Galley and other restaurants/bars.
