Tampa General is one of the best in this part of the state, and it's a teaching hospital, which means there are loads of resources not typically available at the average hospital. St. Joseph's is also good, but not a teaching hospital.

Bayfront in St Pete and Morton Plant in Clearwater are are also top hospitals if looking in Pinellas County versus Hillsborough County.

It really depends on what you're looking for. Each hospital is going to have its own specialty(s). For instance, I work at Largo Medical and we have an excellent cardiovascular ICU and transplant services. Bayfront and Tampa General have excellent Trauma Centers, and so forth.

In all honesty, any of the larger, big name hospitals are going to be fine for most things.
