At least you get the best of both worlds with summer T storms. You get about the same chance with a west or east wind.

Curious why OP left for the Villages. Was it for better health care? Was if for your parents? Seems like you were happy where you were.

We decided it would be easier for me if we lived in the middle of a bazillion things, all accessible by driving a golf cart which could be modified to make it more comfortable to drive. We looked further south first, for the warmth, but nothing compared to The Villages.

My wife puts less then 5000 miles a year on her car. Having just about everything we need in less then a 3 mile radius is priceless.

Heard during election season that the Villages is the biggest retirement community in the USA. 150,000 population. Not sure it's accurate info, but they network was focusing on Trump's yuge backing there.

Same where we were in Palm Harbor. Very nice. Now it will be under 1,000 miles a year.....LOL!
