Just out of curiousity, what is the Tampa traffic like compared to Los Angeles. I might be moving soon from LA to Tampa.

I think Tampa is better than LA, from what I've heard people say. I *do* notice a difference during "season."

I work downtown and live in NW Tampa. If I travel during rush hour, it takes me WELL over an hour to get home Friday afternoon (its a 25min drive normally). I usually try to work so I'm in the car 6-7am and 3-4pm. Otherwise it is exhausting.

The problem Tampa has is much like all later-booming cities--it's just a series of 6-lane main roads with subdivisions, office parks, and strip malls off to the sides. Makes it hard to find shortcuts.

In my travels to LA, i'd say Tampa is MUCH MUCH better in regards to traffic, but you are speaking of two cities that should not be compared in regards to anything as they are so entirely different int terms of population, industry, geography, etc.

Compared to LA, Tampa will appear to have very little traffic at all.
