Bull. Dale Mabry, outside of rush hour, is typically pretty smooth. There are very few times I've driven it when it was a "parking lot." Which speaks volumes as I drive it daily.

Yeah it's not bad at all outside of rush hour. But during rush hour it is a **** show. The highway exits around Carrollwood are mostly jacked up as well during that time. Otherwise they're fine, albeit somewhat poorly designed although that has more to do with 275 and its constant state of construction/disrepair.

You can pretty much say that about any road in the tampa area.

Saying Dale Mabry is a parking lot in the Carrollwood area is definitely an exaggeration. I am on that road in the area all the time and various hours of the day, 7 days a week. Rush hour is a little slow, and that is the worst of it.

The way it works on CD is everyone complains about a road some where in the Tampa Bay Area away from where they live as "The Worst Road Ever"! That way they can feel good about the area they live and the congested roads they drive through every day.

While Tampa certainly has its congested roads, it is all relative. There are many areas in the country that have more congestion:

Having lived in New York City, DC and Atlanta, I would take Tampa traffic over all of them.
