Ok my take. I spent this last week in Greater Pinellas Point. Its that nice area near the skyway and Pinellas Bayway, theres some nature over there or parks near 275 BUT.. I find theres a red flag or 2. Sure theres nice homes, sure it looks like a nice getaway from everything suburb.. I just find you have to go through a lot of S St Pete to get anywhere else, stores and food options are very limited. You just have Publix. You have Save A Lot too but its crappy. I don't like the area its in and it sits right alongside the SE parts near the water too. I don't like that plaza. And then I find if its not sketchy in S St Pete or dark, its boring. Theres no reason to move or consider living down here. I see why people stay on the north side after all. I really do. Roser Park looks real nice ya, but again.. not too convenient to get to the other options around for entertainment or food. A part of me regrets moving to GPP and it may only last a month. I am hesitant to unpack all my stuff so far.. some complications go into that too with the living situation but ya, I don't see it as a long term place plus I find the spillover from the rest of the south side also can happen even in the nicer parts. The north has their bad parts too yes but I think the Southside just feels too desolate and so does GPP and even those nice areas facing the freeway, like those hotels. Not my cup of tea.

Personally I am shooting for the 4th St N area or I'd even rather be in Seminole to tell you the truth. Hell dare I say it but maybe even Pinellas Park I'd like more.

I want everyones thoughts. Tell me if some peoples sentiments echoes mine? I just see no draw to anywhere in the south side, not even the Old SE but then again even Old NE is too congested and popular for my taste also. Just where Barnes and Noble and USF is but that's practically midtown and a nice part of it too.

You realize that Roser Park is the closest neighborhood to downtown in the city, right? That means it has the most entertainment options of like anywhere in the city.

Greater Pinellas Point does seem boring, which is why I didn't consider moving there, but it isn't any more boring than Kenneth City. Maybe St Pete isn't for you.
