Nothing is gonna stop these thugs as it is now. Lets add some pain with jail time like beatings or even worse and i bet we see some big drops in crime.

Society is better for what happened, unfortunately , these 3 were never going to change and improve their lives. Think of all the lives that were saved when these 3 mutts died so had they lived they would have moved onto guns and shooting people.

do you plan on life sentences for every crime? are you prepared to have your taxes jacked up dramatically to build more prisons and hire more guards? all of this lock 'em up sounds good, but impractical.

Why? Because you don't like to be exposed for posting idiotic statements?

Maybe the US can learn something from these countries who have the lowest crimes; Ireland, Norway, Austria, Japan, Iceland and New Zealand. As this article notes, New Zealand is the most peaceful nation in the world for second year, but also has the highest ratio of incarcerated persons.

BTW, the article also ranks US 85 out of 149 countries, between Brazil and Angola. So there's obviously room for improvement and lessons that can be learned if the right people were so inclined to make a change.

Been known for 70+ years now to be completely ineffective. But who needs research when we can go on gut instinct?
