Tampa Shores.. in the older section closes to Hillsborough the houses were built in the late 60s. New section closes to the water in the late 70s. Not a bad area, apts were recently built in front of the subdivision.

The worst thing about living there would be trying to get in or out of the street. I know they were talking about a light there at one time.

Close to grocery stores, flea market in Oldsmar and about 20 minutes away from Dunedin, Honeymoon Island or Caladesi Island.

I think it is a pretty quiet area, although I don't know anyone who lives there now. It has one road in/out and the nabe itself is pretty small. People in general are pretty nice but it depends on what you consider friendly. Some are more friendly than others as is the case in most nabes
Maybe someone else can tell you more.

I have lived in the neighborhood over 10 years, and think it's great. We are basically a penisular surrounded by salt water canals that all lead to channel A which leads directly to Tampa Bay. Great location, central to both Hillsborough and Pinellas County, and about a 10 minute drive to Tampa International Airport. Lots of families, many of which have more than one generation in the neighborhood. I would recommend to anyone.
