Hello Everyone, I'm Baaaack!
My last post was in 2014 but I see some familiar names still on here. Once we finally settled, I stopped logging on. My deepest apologies to anyone who sent me a DM and did not get a reply.

Well...we are now at that point in life looking at high schools. I am interested in hearing comments from PARENTS ONLY who had kids attend either Jesuit High School or the Robinson IB program.

I know people LOVE to opine on Florida schools and offer up what they heard about the type of people who go to this school or that school. We've been living here for 5 years now so we are up on all the impressions and I don't want to fall into a philosophical rabbit hole.

BUT...I would REALLY love to hear from parents who have first-hand experience with either of these schools.

Thank you in advance for your comments and for respecting the guidelines!

Cheers all!

John Reaves and Hulk Hogan both went to Robinson, hope that helps.

And the IB pass rate is the best in the state.

Robinson and ib are separated, they have their own wing and the bell times are staggered, a lot of Westchase and South Tampa kids. It is very rigorous and has a lot of parental involvement.

Thank you both for your reply. Any other parents with kiddos in Jesuit High School or Robinson HS IB program?

Jesuit will set you back a minimum of about $16,000/year for tuition. Robinson is free for the most part. I've worked with graduates of both at the university level, and other than the obvious shoulder-rubbing with the upper class kids they get at Jesuit, I found little difference in educational ability.

We did Robinson ib for the first 2 years, then Academy of Holy Names for junior year. We felt like Robinson was more demanding, this year she is at Plant because of some AP classes she wanted to take.
