Won't have much surge if the center is east of the west coast. We will get wrap around winds from the northeast and north and once the storm is well north of us we will get west winds and minor surge. This is easy stuff to understand man.

Hi all...

Hoping all stay safe 'n sound wherever you wind up during Irma. I'm up in CT, thinking of retiring to the St. Petersburg area next year so I'm a bit curious and anxious at as well. It's interesting to see all the responses to this post.

I'll be thinking about you guys and watching the weather this weekend....

^^^This. I'm am really tired of these media a$$clowns blatting at us 24/7. So far, they're the worst part of this, IMO. THEY love it. Nothing makes a media a$$ happier than sowing fear, confusion, lies, etc.

Found this on NOAA site. The interactive map lets you zoom in. Black line is the current predicted path. Hoping for it to make a move to the east or WAAAYYY to the west.

Its crazy people waiting hours in line for a 2 gal limit on water and 10 bag limit on sand bags. Like its some kind of magical sand that will keep your house dry. Some places are even selling bags of sand.
Absolutely no common sense.
Sand and water, the only way to get it is to stand in line for hours and then pay for it

At this point, seems like west is where Irma wants to go. I say go there, without the turn.
