Keep dreamen.

More and more west jest. Only good thing is, the way it is coming toward us. if it were coming more out of west or southwest the surge would be much worse. Roofs will be ripped off for many homes.

It sort of does, doesn't it? Although I don't wish that on the area at all.

Storm looks more ragged so maybe it is down to around 110mph. Spending lots of time over Cuba.

Thanks Jambo. Our winter home is right in the center of Lakeland and it's now looking like the storm will pass west of Lakeland, whereas just yesterday the thing was predicted to go up the center of Florida.

These things are sure perverse in their behaviour.

Ours will be a property loss that can be handled via phone calls with insurance company but our hearts are going out to those full time residents who are faced with loss of everything and days, weeks of living with uncertainty, to say nothing of the possible physical harm to themselves that god forbid, may also happen.

We are glued to the internet now emailing back and forth to those still hunkering in the area and are finding out that confusion and panic are starting to take hold with the realization this thing is dangerous beyond anything they've yet experienced. Stores running out of staples, gas stations fighting for tanker deliveries, Home Depot and Loewe's trying to get re-stocking of plywood in all thickness's.

What we're being told; it's becoming a madhouse of folks spinning in circles trying to do the best for themselves and at the same time trying to help each other.

That's exactly what it is, people spinning in circles, whipped into a frenzy of uncertainty. A pox on the unholy alliance of government and media.
