Unfortuantely I'm going to test your theory tonight. I'll let you know how it goes. Family outing.

Good luck - I'm a risk taker too.

Remarkably, some places did open later and got slammed, people then complained they had to wait "over an hour" for their order. I was like really people, are you that freakin' ignorant....
Well said! Some people are just so ungrateful. Sickening!

He's got a point. We went to the local Wally World today, they just opened back up. They didn't open yesterday, because they had to literally get rid of all refrigerated items, on account of their generator did not kick in during the storm. One of the workers there told us that when they went into the store yesterday, the place stunk like the dickens from rotten meat and other foods.

Still no power in Tampa. They are saying 7-10 days. All of this over 66 mph winds.

At the rate TECO is going, maybe I will have to ask one of you guys to roast my Thanksgiving turkey.

Perhaps TECO needs to invest in the infrastructure and start bringing its equipment into the current century. I think you have every right to be angry.

My sister has a whole house generator that uses a huge propane tank that is buried in the yard. Don't know how many days it will work before needing to be refilled, however she had the a/c and the TV on. We kept other usage to a minimum. Unfortunately her drain field and septic are flooded and she can't flush her toilets. The water was backing up into the kitchen sink.

Lol, soft. What do you call all the people in FL that can't even handle 50 degrees?

What you don't see under that jacket...are ten illegal immigrants holding battery operated fans...
