Very sad to see/hear about the disrespect!

Get home schooled if you have to protest!

Good to see today's youth fighting for social injustices as well as to fight back at a racist President who appears not to care about minority rights.

So now if someone is not comfortable saying the Pledge of Allegiance because s/he does not believe in God or for some other reason of conscience the student is not to receive a public education to which s/he is entitled and to which the students' [parents are likely paying taxes?

This type of attitude really worries me. If someone disagrees with a particular point of view s/he should be ostracized. marginalized and next, exiled.

I don't want to live in such a place.

These kids are inheriting the country. Hope there'd be more speaking up.

Glad to see these students standing up for what is right. Good for them. We need more of this among our young people.

It would help the thread if you provided some sort of link - not that I don't trust you to provide fake news, but I've been fooled more than enough times by rightwing media like Breitbart. I'd rather read it for myself.

Some people are too spoiled and shallow to realize how lucky they are to be an American. They don't appreciate it and things like this are an example. Too much attention seeking.

Put these kids in jail. Perhaps this is the high schooler OP is posting about......

Eugenia McDowell told ABC News that her son knelt down during the daily pledge to the flag at Wiregrass Elementary School in Wesley Chapel, Florida.
