my husband is an attorney in ohio, but not working as an attorney. he wants to do real estate/ title law, but absolutely no opportunites here in ohio. he's working as a reality specialist for dept of trans. does not pay well , 32,000/yr. he's just trying to gain experience so we can move to florida and he can hopefully get a job in the title industry. i completely agree with the fact that most attorneys do not make 6 figures. it would be nice though , esp with the incredible debt in student loans. if anyone has any advice on the best way to obtain legal real estate job in florida, please let me know.

Default all I will say is

the market is one of the worst in years and years. I'd think it would be pretty difficult right now. All he can do is send out letters of inquiry to firms that look interesting and see if they are hiring. I'm guessing you're 32K/year is going further in OH than it will here. This area ain't cheap and for the folks who think it's "after the season?" Hah! We found 2 years ago that landlords can let the properties sit if they have to, until next snowbird season, than to rent year round at lower rates. They aren't that desperate as long as the 'birds keep coming. your DH is working so don't dismiss that as a big plus. There are many people who'd be happy to get that 32K.

Hi I have a friend who is a recruiter for legal positions, I don't have her details but I bet she would have some insight into the Tampa job market. I know she works with a client that has positions in different states. Let me know if you would like me to get more detail for you. And good luck!
