What do native floridians from the tampa area think of people who move there from the northeast? Be honest lol, does it bother you or are you happy that people want to move to the area? Anything and everything works, just would like some input on what your thoughts of us notherners.

I can't say i've hated it but i am moving back this summer because my family is still all there. I guess i'm glad I got to see another part of the country though. I too came from a smaller town where tradition and just people in general do things together and you get used to seeing the familiar faces. Down here, there are so many people that if you go to a town festival or anything, it's unlikely you'll see anybody you know or a familiar face for that matter. the school in NH my daughter will attend also has 600 kids compared to 1600 kids here in FL and i don't live in a big city, just a small town. By the way, i came from Berlin, NH.

I have also not been that happy here since I moved 2 years ago. Although I would never move back to the midwest, I would like to find somewhere diff. The people are very much diff. I do miss the modesty in people back home. The superficial, full of myself, everyone for themselves attitude has really turned my nose to Tampa. I have now since joined a church so I wonder if I can find better people there.

I've found mixed emotions; there are things I do like about FL, and there are things that I hate - the bad out weigh the good, unfortunately. I'm happier up north. I'm originally from SE Michigan, lived here 9 years, and plan on moving to NJ.

I, also, am from SE Michigan. I completely agree with every word you said. There are really great things about living here: however the bad does outweigh the good. Eventhough I will be staying here for a while, I do plan to eventually move.
