I would have gone to the Gran Prix and watched the highlight reel on the golf channel!

I was surprised at the huge turnout at Valspar. The pictures of the galleries around TW were unbelievable. 30,000 attendance is what they said on TV....probably for both Sat and Sun and maybe Friday.

Every year I see stories on the news about heat waves hitting the major NE cities. Guess that's just more fake news.

you LIVE in a heat wave ALL summer...get the difference? Winter Florida greater...summer lesser...pick your poison. We also read about Florida cold snaps in winter.

Lived in NYC for 35 yrs and now here in Tampa Bay for the past 20. The difference for me is that with using my car for transportation as opposed to public transportation it's a lot more tolerable...I spent too many hours waiting at bus and train stops freezing my buns off...and driving into Manhatten was a nightmare... You are correct however that each place has largely the same amount of miserable weather!

Tiger Woods hasn't ever played the PGA event in Tampa and may never play it again. Seeing maybe the greatest golfers of all time (arguable) is on the bucket list for a lot of golf fans. The Grand Prix will always be around next year. Tiger meanwhile will likely not return.

Right..and I'n not on here to pick a weather battle. Each place has its merit and NOBODY will argue Florida is the place to be in winter. Having living on the west coast in summer though, I thought it was hell frankly but that is just me. I only commented because some folks in Florida think we live in igloos here in New England all winter

He reveres Arnies tourney too much. Won't expect him to return. That's why I said unlikely.
