Builder Blunder: Wesley Chapel Home built 6 feet from neighbor

Unbelievable! A builder that doesn't know or ignores the code for building!

Eric Marks, President of Amex Homes even suggest to cut a part of one home off ....Eric should resign for making such a decision on top of ignoring the code and just flipping the floor plan after County had approved the floorplan/model!

And once again the county inspectors did not see a thing. Most inspectors I ever saw stayed in their cars while filling out the needed paper work. They got out of their air conditioned cars to sign off on the permit boards out front then quickly got back to the comfort of there cars.

Real estate agents, builders, and inspectors are a corrupt lot. Need tighter scrutiny on all of them to protect the consumer. Look at them all like I do used car salesmen.

Pasco County yet again - are county employees just going through the motion?

Family buys Pasco County home with wrong address
Quote:
When the county released the house numbers to D.R. Horton, they changed the 7 to a 6 by mistake.

The builder didn't catch it or question it, Joiner said.

It wasn't until November 2017, five months after the Godwins moved in, that the county caught the error. They changed it in some records, but didn't tell the Godwins about the mistake or to change their house number.

FTFY.

New car salesmen are thieves too.

What should scare most people who are buying a new home is this was something that was quite obvious.
What about all the ones that would require the inspectors to really walk through and INSPECT the homes for flaws and violations?!

Yep - appears to either be lazy county employees who just don't give a s**t about the job they do or they are overworked and don't give a s**t about the job they do. It should have been obvious when the forms were put up and even before concrete poured. Then after the pour, then after the block work, and then after.... well, yep, should have been caught earlier and often. AMAZING!

I just wonder if the inspector(s) involved still has their job for what is obvious to even the simplest person's view, or maybe they've been promoted

Well, big difference between RE agents and car salesmen, even with builders. If you don't like how they treat you or the job they do you can go find another RE agent, car salesman or builder to deal with. But inspectors are out of your control and influence, and they directly can impact safety of your home and other structures.

Are you referring to the City/County government Inspectors?
