By the way, can you share your thoughts about the food at Ulele, Ichicoro, Astro Ice Cream, Hall on Franklin.
I've traveled to just about every large metro in the country and can honestly say that none of Florida's larger cities look or feel like anywhere else I've been. Can't quite explain it, really. Not sure if it's the people, the landscape, the streets, etc. Although, I must say, Naples reminded of me of certain areas of San Diego.

As far as my meals, everything was fine. Nothing blew me away, but I'm also not very picky.

One thing I forgot to mention is how few homeless people there are out there. They are a much larger presence on the West Coast.

Believe me, San Diego has its share of sketchy areas, also. It's just that prices of homes in Tampa will only get you a condo in San Diego. And if you're looking for a house, be prepared to shell out some bucks. Anything under 500K is either tiny or in a marginal neighborhood.

We have a county who refuses to build mass transit, wants to keep confederate monuments next to our court houses (you know, historical!), but has no problem tearing through our historical districts for interstate expansions and baseball stadiums. Even if the majority of people are against it, they'll find a way (just look up TBX and exactly how much work was needed to stop that. Then keep in mind that they're still going to tear through Ybor. Again.).

And that is why the Orlando Metro will pass Tampa Bay in the future. More progressive.
