It seems like most places want $300 just to apply, and in prodding a lot of places for more information; having more than $5k in overdue debt is an automatic disqualifier.

I don’t qualify for low income housing, my gross pay is between 65k and 75k a year depending on bonuses. I have $25k in charged off debt that I’m slowly paying down, in addition to $40k in student loans and $20k in auto loan debt.

How can I find a 2 bedroom 1 bathroom to rent in my situation?

No ideas, but with the rental market the way it is, landlords can afford to be picky. You're going to have a tough time. Sorry.

I would suggest while not ideal looking for a roommate. You might even be able to find someone with a guest house or similar where it'll feel like independent living.

I pretty much agree with this ^^^. I am sorry OP, but in this area you will be out of luck unless you find something in an undesirable area where the landlord doesn't care.
