There isn't much of anything in Bushnell. There is a Super Walmart, Dollar General, CVS, and a couple of other smaller stores and places to eat.

The closest larger town is Ocala which is about 35 miles away.

The best thing about going to Bushnell is Webster Flea Market which is on Mondays and it is huge. We go once a year.

I agree. I was in Bushnell in February. It's a cute little town, but there's not much there.

I lived in Bushnell for 6 years. Yeah, just a Superwalmart, Sonny's, KFC, Mc'Donalds, Winn Dixie , Foodway and Super Walmart are you choices for groceries, no place to shop other than Walmart, a few doctors but most people travel to Leesburg, Brooksville, Ocala or Inverness for most specialty providers and shopping. All are between 20 - 40 minutes away. It's relatively safe. Never had any major problems with crimes when i lived there. Not really much to say about the place. It's kind of boring with nothing to do.

Oh, we LOVE Webster Flea Market! Just wish it was on Sunday's too, cause it's hard to play hooky to go. Great finds there.

The Villages is moving into Wildwood soon, so there may be more to do (closer to Bushnell) in the future. It's a pretty safe area anywhere you go (aside from the occasional acts of stupidity from extremely board teenagers), but there is not much in the way of shopping (aside from the Webster flea market as others have mentioned). As far as medical matters, I'm not even sure where the closest hospital is located. I know in Wildwood it would be Leesburg Regional, but I just don't know about Bushnell.
