Hi Everyone,
I have received some great advice in the past and am looking for more. I did a search and it seems the three neighborhoods of Fishhawk/River Hills and Twin Lakes of Brandon are recommended. They all share the same middle and high school which is important to me. We are renting for at least the first year. While we loved FishHawk, the family was concerned with the hours of the community pool. By the time you get home from work, have dinner etc the pool is closed. Most of the rental houses in FishHawk do not have private pools, we drove through and noticed a ton of kids. We did not drive through River Hills or Twin Lakes but noticed several of their rental homes have pools and are significantly less money. We are wondering if there are kids in those neighborhoods?

Thank you all again.

River Hills is a gated community and has a real caste system based on what section you live in. While there is a clubhouse with a pool, I don’t know what the hours are.

Twin Lakes is a nightmare getting in or out during peak times.

Thank you, as always you are most helpful. Do you happen to know if you have to be a member of the golf club to use the pool at River Hills?

Pretty sure you have to have a membership, although if I recall correctly, they have a "sport and fitness" membership that gives you access to the swimming pool without the expense of a full country club membership.

Have you bothered to look at their web site? Yeah, I didn't think so....

Contrary to what you thought, I did look at the website as well as search this forum. It does not state if residents need the membership for the pool or not. It lists the membership categories and what is included but does not list the cost of the membership or whether membership is for residents and/or non residents. I am used to HOA's where the HOA fee is all encompassing so wasn't sure if that was the case with this development or not.

Well, you’re the exception to the rule around here, thank goodness. You would think some people that post here have no concept of what a web search is or how to use Google...

Have you bothered to call and ask? That would no doubt get an answer to your question, I’m sure.
