I would say it's as bad as Westport with 90% of the homes rented out to drug dealers.

Yes it is that bad. If there was any way we would be out of here. Drugs, crime, rentals, slumlord landlords. Homes have devaluated so badly that you can not sell and get enough money out of your home to move somewhere else.

Dead on. Feel sorry for people that paid over 120k for these small dumps in 05 that can't give them away for $20k these days.

what do you think is this a good area ?

if it is on the west side of 19, then know this is a very heavily drug infested area.

Not true. But, if you were talking about new port richey.... then that would be true, but holiday? Yeah, no. It is a safe and quiet place with more house for your buck as well as low property tax. Seriously... I have lived there for years. People get your places straight. Holiday is a great place.

Does anyone know if Dunedin is a good place to retire? Also are there any pedestrian friendly gulf coast cities, basically where you can get along relatively ok without a car?

It's no better today than it was in 2008. It's all a trash pit from Holiday to Hudson, minus a very few pricey areas on the gulf. Go east a few miles and homes are much nicer but cost about 10 times more than the 2bedroom dumps.
