Hello all,

I am hoping you can help me and my family, we may be moving to Tampa for work relocation.
I have 4 children, 17, 14, 9 and 5 and I am looking for the best neighborhoods that have the best school districts.

As you can see my children range from grammar school, middle school, High School and now college.
Its very important to me and my wife to have the best schools. My 5 year old is on the Autism spectrum, I am going to need a school that has services for him.

In regards to neighborhoods and housing, I would be looking to spend 500K - 900K.
Open to living near the water or not, a gated community or not.

Any information that can help would be much appreciated.

Thank you in advance for taking the time to respond.

It really depends on where you will be working but some nice communities in the Lutz/Odessa area are Vilarosa and Cheval. And there is a new one just on the other side of the Veteran's expressway, but I cannot think of the name. All three communities feed into McKitrick Elementary, Martinez Middle, and Steinbrenner HS.These are great schools. As far as your younger son, depending on needs, possibly Tampa Day School.

I had a family relocate from Chicago, and they were originally focused on the Odessa area based on the highly-rated schools. They desired amenities in a home that most Odessa properties didn't have, and they ended up purchasing a home in Fishhawk Ranch, which is about 40 minutes Southeast of downtown Tampa. Their schools are rated very highly, and with it being a newer community, the homes are more apt to have some nicer features (3-car garage, pool/spa, etc) and the community features great amenities...

If looking into South Tampa, make sure you check the flood zone map. They tend to flood a lot down there.

Your office is really east of Tampa, near Brandon. Traffic in Tampa along I-4 and I-275 rivals the Long Island Expressway. So choose your neighborhood carefully.

LOL... Some places in S.Tampa may flood just as other places around Tampa do.

Is there any other School zone in Hillsborough County that are all 3 (Elem.,J.H., and H.S.) A rated?
