I'm looking for a place to rent (house or apartment is fine) with my boyfriend in the Tampa Bay area that would allow a German Shepherd puppy. Our budget is up to $1200/month. Expected move-in date is late July or early August. If you know any place like that, please let me know. Thank you in advance.

I posted this earlier-in my experience, downtown areas are more open to having pets in rentals. Most condos and suburban areas have very strict restrictions. Good luck!

For what it's worth, as a landlord I don't allow anything larger than 20 pounds when an adult. That doesn't completely rule out potential issues, as even small pets can wreak some serious havoc, but it seems to be a threshold where major damage to things like doors, walls and fences diminish significantly.

Most of the people I know who are landlords that allow pets seem to go with a size/weight limit in this range rather than call out specific breeds. It's a far easier way of avoid the "pit bull trend" as I've called it.

You will have a harder time finding a decent rental for $ 1200 than you will one that allows your GS. It should not be an issue as long as you stick with larger apartment complexes (no condos).

Plenty in west Pasco. I see scum bag renters with them and 3 and 4 pit bulls nicole. 2 bedroom homes for under 800 a month.
