I would recommend renting before buying.

While you are renting, you can visit the different towns and get the feel of them. You will also get familiar with the horrific traffic that is north Pinellas County regardless of which town you choose. Some people dedicate their lives to not having to cross US-19.

I guess I’m the only one who doesn’t think it’s bad; or at least not relative to Tampa’s problem spots.

We chose Palm Harbor 10 years ago purely due to school. Once that's out of the way and if I had to choose now, definitely Dunedin where I could cruise around in a golf cart especially to those downtown activities on weekends.

They're all great areas, but I would also add Safety Harbor to the list. Oldsmar is right there as well and also has very nice areas. If it were me, I would probably choose Dunedin. I absolutely love that area, especially as you get closer to the Gulf.

For 300K or under for a 2/2 condo, check out some of the options in East Lake Woodlands. Very well-built and in an excellent location. https://www.realtor.com/realestatean...40%7B%40%7DLnG

Agree you will get more for the money...but it has no walkable downtown area or great restaurants! It also lacks any Florida charm...it could be anywhere USA with big box stores...the OP seems to want a walkable downtown area with Florida charm....Safety Harbor and Dunedin have that and more...
