Sections of Pasco have its problems. They are not unique in any way to an area that saw a great deal of growth over a long period of time. Hernando is just gearing up. Were you in Spring Hill 15, 20 years ago? There was nothing here. That has changed significantly in the past 5 years more so than the prior 10.

Check the sheriffs website for crime activity. It changes at midnight every night. It gives you the different areas which crime is happening. Mostly battery, shop lifting, possesion of drugs, home robberies, etc.

My neighbor was robbed as she slept on her coach, in broad daylight, she now has a 6 ft. fence around her property. She blamed the neighbors for not watching her house. People moved into a rental on the block, they started to move in their stuff, and the first night they were robbed. Packed their stuff and left. Some areas are good, others are not so good. Just be aware of your surroundings.

Are you speaking of burglary? Its here and there, certainly not a high rate of it. Get an alarm system. At least the stickers on the doors and windows from a reputable company showing you MIGHT have one.

There have been a few break ins around my area lately so the neighbors are keeping an eye open for suspicious activity more than before.

They seem to be able to do their thing, get on the parkway and be in a different county in no time.

I am from a suburb of Detroit and we are planning on moving to your area in the next few months. I was noticing that there are a lot of properties for sale in Spring Hill. Like a TON of them. I was wondering if anyone can tell me why everyone is leaving Spring Hill? I asked a realtor there and all he told me was that people want to be closer to Tampa so they don't have to commute as far? I'm not sure I buy that totally. Anyone with any info would be appreciated. Also, what's a good city to live in for a family with 4 kids ages 1 year - 12 years, and not too pricey? We can't afford any more than $160,000 to spend on a home. I have been doing so much research my eyes hurt from being on this computer so much. I guess it would help if I've actually ever been there, but I've never been any further south than Ohio! All the pictures I've seen here are absolutely beautiful! I can't wait to see it in person!
