Meh, just stay away from Eastern Hillsborough and Polk County and you'll be fine.

Well, I remember I read somewhere that Tampa was one of the least gay friendly cities in the country but I can't remember where it was at, oh well. One time I visited Tampa and I was in this restaurant and there was this gay couple in there too and people were giving them the dirtiest looks and some people were very rude to them too including the waiter and the manager too. They were speaking to them in a very rude tone and saying mean things like there are children here, you don't belong here, the people were saying that. Pointing their fingers at them and whispering about them, the couple looked very uncomfortable.

The employment rate seems better here, cost of living is way better and of course no state income tax, but what about the weather? Oh, i am also gay, but not the obvious type.

Your kidding right??

It's VERY humid everywhere in Florida for about 9 months out of the year.

That must have been a long time ago. I have several gay friends and they have never had any problems living in Tampa.

What restaurant was that? I have gay friends too, just wondering where something like that may have occurred.

I have gay and lesbian relatives who have no problems, and have plenty of gay/lesbian friends. Honestly, this is a city with all kinds of people and for the most part there are no problems. It's really all about how one treats their fellow human beings, in other words you get back what you give.

The Humidity is to the utmost extreme here. I live 40 mins north of tampa in Spring Hill. And it has taken me 2 years to adjust to the humidity. I was sick all last July! Try to visit here in July for 1 week. If you don't pass out, the you can live here. I am not kidding! Good luck!
