Moving to North St Pete this Monday and started looking around online for renters insurance. A handful of places said they no longer covered FL. I also read that some renters insurance doesn't cover hurricanes.

Looking for advice or references for renters insurance companies. 1960s cinder block, 1300 sq ft, 1 car garage, with swimming pool, 1 story home near 4th ST N & 92ND Ave NE. Im aware that its common to get a reduced rate when having multiple policies with a carrier, but unfortunately my current insurer doesn't do renters in FL. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

What is going on with that state. Alot of problems related to insurance, and housing in general in that state. Im beginning to understand why Im seeing more and more Floridians moving even this far away to Oregon. No problems getting insurance here, but the climate is lousy here.
