We want to move in december to the Tampa Area. I am looking for a nice family friendly community (I have a 3 year old) with community pool which should be between beach (Clearwater or so) and Lowry Zoo. It would be great if I could get in about 20-25 Minutes to both, if possible. Of course it should be in a crime-free area.

Heard about Westchase- is it good there? How long does it take to the beach?

I like new houses/suburbs- you have some community names?

Thanks a lot.

Sissi

What is your price range? Westchase is more expensive than some other areas.

Check out Westchase 'area' Carrollwood or Citrus park on Craigslist.com. I saw a new townhome for rent in your price range. It isn't 'in' Westchase but right outside. If you are working at Lowry Park Zoo, depending on the hours the commute might be a little longer than 25 minutes especially at 5pm. That pretty much goes for any of the areas listed.

Getting to the beach would be closer to 30 minutes if you went to Honeymoon Island, the closes beach. Clearwater and other beaches are going to take longer.

Thanks a lot. Do you have a link with the townhome you mean- I can not find anything on craigslist! Smile- I am not working in the zoo- just want to be close because I really enjoy beeing there.
Is Honeymoon Island as nice as Clearwater beach?

Palm Harbor is a nice area..There are lots of subdivisions but I don't know the names. Maybe a realtor in that area can tell you. Closer to Dunedin. Honeymoon is better IMHO because you don't have the tourist. You can take a ferry to Caladesi Island or go to the beach on Honeymoon.

We moved to Palm Harbor from Charlotte and Love it.
Would not consider any other area in Pinellas County. We live 5
minutes from the Gulf oF Mexico and It is about a 25 minute
Drive to Lowery or Busch Gardens. Dunedin is also very cool!
We live in the Cobbs Landing Area Of Palm Harbor, gated, community pool.
