Ive seen them on the outside of the windshield too. My buddy has one there. Survives summer and car washings. Amazing.

I've used a mini since June of 2011 and have had absolutely no issues with it. It was the best $4.95 I've spent in a long while. Best wishes.

The new transponders are very small, much smaller than the original ones, and has their own batteries. I have one of those now since my radio antennae is in the windshield and the mini sticker can be under it -

No problems so far.

I do also think $5 is steep, not sure how much time and fuel you would save though. I don't use that road at all. Your post, in fact, reminded me of checking my account online for the trip to Miami I had over the weekend, and the max on single pass I have was $2.75 in one of those tolls in the everglades.

Good suggestion! Never thought of that. Will try it. Hope it works! Thanks.

I would have all cars equipped with a Sun Pass on the dashboard.

I love my Sun Pass and cannot imagine what it would be like to keep having change in my car like that ever!

LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL....how can any adult not know that Glass is in no way conductive in ANY way to somehow be an antenna. Goof ball... windshields (some) have antenna wire in them (wired to the radio) to help with the Radio.

The device is a passive indicator, it hold a magnetic resonance signal that the toll beacon recognizes and applies your toll to the code on record matching that magnetic code.

OMG, do not believe what any part of big brother wants to control you about. They do not want to deal with you putting it in another car and the signal not being read, and the wrong plate photographed causing eventual fines and customer dissatisfaction from the owners miss use. I don't blame them ....but I run my own life and I pay for the use of this monster profit road system.
