i merely brought up this subject because i lived in a midwestern city and six or seven years ago we had better cable than tampa

just navigating the menus is a trip down memory lane, at least 7 or 8 years behind the times...

good ol time warner
ah the movies on demand channel!
every new release movie on pay per view!
ah the free movies on demand channels!
the plenitude of on demand channels from food network, a&e, all the big guns, and for free!

brighthouse totally sucks
i am now forced to watch my two coreys over and over again
moreover my standards are reduced
i watch things i would never have watched before

while tampa may have a superior quality of life
not in the department of sitting in your home watching tv

moreover,
brighthouse charges 150 bucks to install wireless internet grrr
time warner did it for a one time fee of 25 bucks
admittedly its probably not that difficult to set up but i hate fussing with computers...i like other people to do it for me :P

Big fan of brighthouse, not sure why you are getting such a high bill, mine rarley goes over $65/mo unless i get on demand movies...i am set up on High def digital package, which includes more tv than i can handle, on demand for just about every channel(like A&E, Bravo, DIscovery, dozens more), and special on demand channels Tampa Bay on Demand channel 340....i dont know, what more could you want from 147 regular channels, and then over 40 High Def channels, 8 separate on demand movie channels for any genre, all the sports channels, and pay per view sports channels, and Bay News 9, 24 hour Tampa Bay News/Weather/Sports ...compared to places I have traveled too, there is nothing missing...

Or the question should be, specifically what more are you looking for that you do not already get?

I'm a fan of Brighthouse, also. We live in Lakeland, now, but before that we were in the tiny town of Dade City and we had fabulous reception and service. Here in Lakeland we have a few more problems but the customer service is wonderful - they are always friendly and address our concerns right away. We have the bundle package for phone, internet and cable, and costs about $145 per month. I don't know how you can beat that.
