Where in Tampa Bay can I find a hamburger that is most similar to a double double from In-n-Out?

In-N-Out Burger - Welcome

The most traumatic part of my move from California to Florida will be missing my favorite indulgence: a Double-double from In-n-Out Burger.

I am looking for a burger that is most similar in taste to this fantastic creation.

If you share my love for this burger and live in Tampa / St. Pete, where to you go to satisfy your craving?

cheers,
Al

I dont know, maybe Five Guys Burgers and Fries, or Checkers? I think In and Out is a one of a kind.(I was never a big fan, sorry)

My husband & son especially miss In-N-Out too. For a good burger, I just cue 'em at home. But I haven't tried to duplicate their grilled onions & special sauce.

Hey, maybe we can work on this together. Hubby says we need a good burger joint here (we're in Hernando County)!

Never had a double double (or for that matter a single single) from In-n-Out. However, I take the entire post as if your move from California was a pretty good one, apart from that trauma. That is good....

OMG...I am right there with ya. I went back out west last year, and stopped at the In and Out in Vegas and also some small desert town in Arizona...can't remember exactly where it was...but I got my fill.
Try Five Guys Burger and Fries. Not a direct comparison to In and Out, but it's set up the same way, and the burgers are pretty darn good. There's one in Trinity, one on Ulmerton in Clearwater, and another one in Pinellas park by the Tyrone Mall.

I personally like Five Guys burgers better than In and Out. I do like In and Out's fries since they create them on-site.

There is a Whataburger on Ulmerton in Pinellas County. They have great burgers. I've never ate at an "in and out" place, but Whataburger is as good as anyone in my opinion.

You could also try Sonic. There's one on Fowler Ave. in Tampa across from University Square Mall and other locations in Pinellas County.

So tell us, what is so unique about a burger from In N' Out?

Why don't you start a bootleg In-N-Out? I saw one in Islip, NY.

don' t try sonic. i tried it for the first time a few months ago. pretty bad. i went to knott's berry farm in CA and saw an in and out burger off the highway on my way home. i stopped, ordered, and ate. it was so good, i went back in and ordered some more... i don't think there is a place to compare, and if so, i haven't found it yet.
