I don't know which ones are the best per se, but two in this area are All Children's in St. Pete, and Shriner's on USF campus in Tampa. Tampa General has a good pediatric floor from my experience, although that is limited.

I work at St. Joseph's Children's Hospital in Tampa. I can't speak for every unit of the hospital, but I am happy in my job and would feel comfortable having my own children cared for there. The hospital gets transfers from all over the region. They don't do transplants or burns, but they do have a good cardiac surgery program. If you are in pediatrics, it is a hospital worth looking in to.

All Children's and St. Joseph's are my favorites.

Orlando has Arnold Palmer, Nemours, and soon Disney will be opening a new hospital (supposed to be a model for pediactric hospitals everywhere). Anyway, while I would not live in Orlando, Seminole county is an awesome choice for families (Oviedo, Lake Mary, Winter Springs). And it's still 30 minutes or less to most areas in Orlando.
