I have a friend who lives there as well and she enjoys it. She said it's a pretty ncie place to raise her kids (she has 2). Not only that but it's not too far from everything as well.

At one point I was living in Tampa and working in Orlando (living in Orlando 3-4 days a week). I considered moving up there for a period of time last year and nearly did. I get job offers from that area every so often, but it would take a really good one to get me to leave. So many toll roads up there!

It wouldn't be worth the gas with the way the prices are and the tolls, might as well live in Orlando...

Sunpass is great for the tolls, but living west I rarely use mine. It's mostly used when I am visiting South Florida (the Turnpike) or going to Orlando.

I wouldn't completely rule out Orlando, there are some nice areas you might like try windermere, winter park, oviedo, lake Mary, altamonte, winter springs.

I do like the Tampa area alot also but check both out before you decide. Orlando seems much busier then Tampa and alot to do but Tampa has the water and thats a plus.

Also someone said St Pete was horrible I don`t find that to be true that area IMO is very nice, I love the Islands near St Pete(Treasure Island, Madeira beach).
