I came across this article and thought many may find the facts quite disturbing.

Not only is it happening here, it is elsewhere as well. This is a very good intellectual read.

American Murder Mystery

According to the local PD here, they know it's going on but are pretty much "afraid" of retaliation if they put together the same type of statistics.

Yes, I read that article in The Atlantic awhile ago and found it quite interesting. Lots of people have speculated about the link, but now there seems to be firm data.

Sec. 8 sometimes worries me. There are more and more communities that are sec. 8 and granted, there are good people who have to be on it, and then people who abuse the system...these communities are usually crime ridden and have nightly hang outs...

Section 8 should worry us all, it is destroying neighborhoods and towns, one section 8 plant at a time.

Help STOP the New Next Generation of Funding for Section 8 Vouchers
http://www.govtrack.us/congress/bill.xpd?bill=s110-2684
Sponsor Christopher Dodd-D-CT
The last Section 8 Voucher Program Act was in 2007 by Senator Maxime Waters D-Los Angeles.
Since then, Redding, CA has seen a FLOOD of these people moving into Redding and it's not pretty.
Make of it what you will, we are not all loving it. It's negative to progress, not positive. These people are not here for the betterment of the community, nor are they here to WORK at all, to the contrary.
Get involved, sign a STOP Section 8 Petition today!
There are tons of lifelong residents in a hurry/flurry to Escape Redding because of what Section 8 have brought to this community.
