I read where the bonds were going to be restructured very soon. Do you think Connerton will start building again and start trying to reach the potential it had years ago? I personally loved it when I looked at it back in 2006, but I ended up buying in Lutz because I felt it was too far out. I always loved the concept, and the amenities seemed plentiful. Just wondering if anyone had any more information on it.

It's way too far out there. There are a bunch of subdivisions cut in all over Pasco that are now chained up. Kind of the like the 80's land bust in Pasco, Hernando and Citrus. Some of the subdivisions they cut in in Hernando, pasco and citrus in the 80's, most of the ones in hernando and citrus are still vacant. Drive up US 41 near Dunellon and you will see them. Weed covered roads with like 1 house per street. A pretty good place for vagrants to live, bodies to be dumped and meth to be cooked.

It should have never been built. It fit a market or demand which did not exist.

Default re: connerton

My family lives in Connerton. Great houses with really nice community center and playground(s).. There's 256ish built homes with majority being at the "entrances" to Connerton. The back end has lots of vacant homes waiting on the new builders to start again. You can definitely find a good deal for alot of house out here. I moved from Pinellas County and a 2.6k house would have cost double what i paid.

Somewhat of a shock when i went to look for my first Home Depot/Lowes. It is far out there, i wont argue that. If they build the ridge road extension from the Suncoast Parkway, I would be shocked if all up and down us 41 becomes heavily populated with business. There's a multitude of other communities within spitting distance of Connerton. I'd take a look if i were you.

More pessimistic ranting from the Hillsborough County anarchist troll I see. Last I checked the only major criminal problems and crimes where in YOUR zip code, you can always check the crime tracker in zipcode 34637, in Connerton, which will 99.9999% of the time be ZERO. We also have Pasco Sheriff's deputies who are paid for by Connerton as neighborhood watch, just in case you thought about coming over and trying to "shoot holes in our clubhouse windows"

In the paper ,last week, it showed 1 person being arrested in 34637 for criminal mischief. My wife had to talk me out of moving.

Bond issue has been resolved. New building going strong with only a few used homes for sale and at a great price. New homes starting in the 200s - great place to live.
