It will be more when you first move to FL as you have to pay a registration fee the first year. It is $100.00 plus the cost of the tag. Here is a link that will give you more info.

Florida DHSMV Dealer Licenses

Can you help me, I'm not sure to understand everything, in the #2.
if we have a residence, we are required to have (and register) a car ?
I'd like buying a second home in FL, and in first time, I think to rent a car when I'll be in FL

If you move here and become a permanent resident, I believe that you have 30 days to get your car registered. I think the #30 is significant, but I would have to read the link to be sure.

VINCE: Are you required to have a car in Florida - NO!! You DO NOT need to own a car. Rent one and enjoy yourself!

Mine was over 400. It is different here than most places. You register your car the 1st time and the cost is significant. I am pretty sure mine was over 400, close to 430 I believe. But next year should only be 50 or 60. Now, if I sell my car and get another one, I keep my plate. It almost seems like you renew the plate, not the car.
