We just bought a mobile home in a park, only to discover just recently that its for sale ( the park). They are trying to sell it as commercial property and not necessarily a mhp. What happens to the home owners if it sells for commercial purposes and not as a park? Would they be compensated or told to move?

You will be compensated, however if the previous owner's of the mobile home knew the park was for sale and did not tell you, you might be able to make them pay. Maybe a realtor on here will know what your rights are if not you might want to talk to a real estate atty regarding your rights.

Now as far as compensation here is a link to the FL state law. Check out section 0612. There is a lot of info including the amts paid to you if you have to move your MH.

Hopefully your home is newer and can be moved if necessary

WOW. How nice of them not to tell you that the property was for sale. Some people are just all for themselves!
