Hi everyone,
i've been reading on and on and you all are very informative. that's wonderful- i hope my question hasn't been answered yet?
my husband & i are relocating to the clearwater area, no children as of yet. Can anyone tell me about north fort harrison blvd-that's where we are looking to reside temporarily until we find something more permenant? i saw it on craigs list and it's fairly cheap. which is what we are looking for. i believe the are efficiencies. but i cannot find any info about that part of clearwater. how far is that from treasure island? What is the crime like in that area of clearwater and how are your gas prices. Ours are around 3.39 p/gallon. If anyone can help with those couple of questions, that'd be greatly appreciated. One more thing how's the building right now? My husband is a bulkheader(building docks and piers).
we're leaving within a week, so any insight would be great.
thanx a bunch

Hmm you might want to do a search on this forum for either clearwater or Ft Harrison.

I haven't been in that area in a while, but IIRC it isn't too bad. Hopefully someone who knows the area better will be able to guide you.

The City of Clearwater has a good website where you can research crime and other things about the city here --> MyClearwater.com - The Official Web Site of the City of Clearwater, FL.

I think our gas prices are close to what you're used to, but they fluctuate so frequently, I can't be sure. You can get an idea from local reports here --> Tampa Gas Prices - Find Cheap Gas Prices in Florida.

New and existing single family home sales continue to be very slow with a lot of trades out of work.

N. Ft. Harrison is cheap for a reason. It's a dump. You may consider Pasco County just north of Pinellas for less expensive housing. But there are areas to avoid as well. There should be jobs available for your husband in the bay area for obvious reasons. Good luck!
