I almost like Davis Islands. This may sound silly but I like good curbs and gutter systems and I don't see this on Davis Islands. I don't see it in South Tampa either. It really brings down the overall appeal of the place. Whenever there is a shower or storm the streets are flooded.

Harbour/Harbor (sp) Island however seems to have adequate curbs and would be a good place to buy a condo. Do you think I could wait another year or two years and still get a good deal? I mean, you don't think the housing market could recover by then?

Also, how hard would it be to commute to Dale Mabry from there?

Thanks,
BJS

The communte to Dale Mabry should be very short (15 mins) depending on traffic -and your route.

Not sure about prices. I do find your post about sidewalks interesting as it seems that a lot of FLA communities have absolutely no sidewalks or curbs.

There is no grocery store on the island, but less than a mile is Publix, and there is a convenience store at the Post Aprartments.

I live in South Tampa neighborhood of Bayside West and we have curbs and some houses have gutters if that is what you are speaking of....it rains so hard in the summers that gutters may flood and the water will just pour over the top anyway...anyway, you will find some neighborhoods with curbs, some without, you will find some houses with gutters, some without....South Tampa is a very large area...
