I recently moved here from Las Vegas and was spoiled by Lee's Discount Liquor. They had a huge inventory and great prices. I went to Sweetbay Liquors to buy a bottle of Grand Marnier and it was $44.99. At Lee's it was $29.99! I'm in New Tampa. Is there any place around with reasonable prices?

Most of the time I go spirit shopping is to buy gifts, so my response isn't the best, lol. I usually shop at the ABC Fine Wines & Spirits. There is a new ABC store you can check out in Wesley Chapel (on Bruce B Downs). The ABC in Carrollwood even has a sommelier on staff. I'm confident they will be much cheaper than the grocery stores.

Yes I was gonna say the same thing. I'm not positive of the prices but they do offer one of those membership cards for savings.

Located on SR56 and Bruce B Downs

Also, what about that one liquor store on Cross Creek and Bruce B Downs?? It's right next to the cigar bar in the plaza there. They may have good prices and it's closer to New Tampa area.

Are you referring to the one to the left of Publix? I haven't been in there yet but will stop by tomorrow.

I think so. Whatever is in that plaza on that corner. Try that one too. I know they are open later too. I've only been there once but it seemed nice. ABC has a REALLY nice wine selection btw. Futhermore, there is a wine and spirits store on Bruce B Downs (BBD) and SR 56 across from ABC liquor in that New Tampa plaza. They will get anything you want (although, most likely, every store will) They also have a REALLY nice selection of wine.... smaller but interesting. They also have a really adorable cigar bar right in the store. Check it out! Have fun liquor store shopping!

And just a side remark..... Grand Marnier.......... Niiiiice!!!!! It's my favorite!!!

Okay, I found my spirits store. I decided to go into BJs to check it out and after picking up a few things I decided to check out the spirits section. The Grand Marnier was in the high $20s. Not much offered for the wine enthusiast though as the inventory is limited.

I had a membership at BJ's when I lived elsewhere. I then moved to Vegas and I didn't have a BJ's close by so my membership expired. I signed up for a free 60-day trial here as I still have a Costco membership from Vegas.

As a whole, the cheapest you're going to find is at Total Wine & More at Dale Mabry and I275. While it's far from New Tampa, their prices beat ABC in almost every instance and usually beat Sam's or BJ's prices too.

BTW, you don't have to be a member of either BJ's or Sam's to buy from their liquor store. You don't pay any extra either.
