Where are the nicer banquet halls and other type establishments to rent for a party in the Tampa area? We'd prefer either upscale or unique, party will be about 50-100 or so.....

Not sure exactly what setting you want, but first to mind is the Garden Club on Bayshore Rentals of the Tampa Garden Club (http://www.tampagardenclub.com/rentals.htm - broken link). The facilities are a little dated, but the location is pretty good. The St. Petersburg Yacht Club and Palma Ceia Yacht Club have nice banquet facilities too. If you don't mind the hotel scene, the Renaissance Vinoy and Don CeSar in St. Pete are nice as is the Grand Hyatt on Old Tampa Bay. What's the occasion?

Went to a wedding reception at Saddlebrook Resort, was very elegant - and the bridal shower was held at the Don Vincente. Both top notch.
