I have some fond memories of Jack Russell stadium, watching guys like Pete Rose, Mike Smidt, Greg Lusinski when I was a kid, however with the recent turn of events I think it would be appropriate to ask the Phillies to find a new home for spring training. Some suggestions are Arcadia, FL, College Hill in Tampa or better yet somewhere out in Arizona.

Would like to do the same w/ the NY Yankees - becoming a rival of the Rays - but like the Phillies - their presence in Tampa/CLW means more $$$ for the local economy - more tourists buying stuff.

So I have to disagree w/ you on that idea no matter how much I despise fans from Philadelphia.

Hey as a former resident of Philadelphia, I dissagree with this thread. The Phillies worked hard for their win and it is a sport. One team wins, the other loses. If you can't take the heat, stay out of the kitchen.lol. Seriously though, the spring training pre games bring in lots of visitors and is good for Florida's economy. Be careful what you wish for.

What "recent turn of events" are you referring to?

Pretty good - no riots, no car burnings.
