When an ad refers to a home and says this "Construction, block, on piling, stucco" What does the piling part mean?

We are interested in cbs, but the piling threw me a curve.

Thanks

A piling is a column of wood, steel, or concrete that is driven into the ground to provide support for a structure. In Florida, it's fairly common in waterfront properties or areas prone to soil subsidence. Make sense?

Yes thank you so much. Kind of thought that but also made me think of housing on stilts.

Well, it could be on stilts. Just depends on how high the pilings are. Some houses are elevated enough you can park underneath, which is a pretty handy use of space.
