First, thanks to everyone on this forum who helped guide me in the right direction. I made the move to Tampa not quite 4 weeks ago now and ended up renting a 2 bedroom townhome in Hyde Park. My realtor was pushing me hard toward Westchase but as a single professional I think Hyde Park is a much better fit!! I may not ending up buying in this area once my lease is up - after evacuating many times on East Coast I simply don't want to live in an evac zone again long-term - but this is perfect for me while I'm new to town!

OK, so now my questions. I have 2 cats and 2 rabbits...can anyone recommend a vet, preferably in the area? If you have rabbits and can recommend a vet with familiarity with bunnies all the better.

And on a completely disparate topic what are the best tattoo shops in Tampa?

Thanks!!

Welcome! There is a great Vet and Cat Doctor next to the Vet on Henderson Blvd in South Tampa...the Veterinary Med Clinic, I cant remember the Cat DOcs name, but Vet Med would know it..I bring my kids there for their yearly checkup...

As far as Tats...Ybor as numerous..shop around on 7th ave and see which makes you most comfortable...I got my last one at Phat Katz on 7th Ave near 16th Street.

Barring any ill will against the Tattoo Shops in Ibor City there is a TERRIFIC shop located on St Pete Beach. You can check out their website at www. ta2inc.com, once there you will have a chance to view the portfolios of the artist on their myspace page. I have personally been inked by Johnny 4 times now and am planning on having a leg piece done including a cover up of that area. Swing on down and check it out....you will be intrigued.....

I've been told by many of my tatt'ed up friends that Red Door in Ybor is good. I heard it's pricey though.

My daughter and her friends recommend "Blue Devil" on 7th Ave. and "Red Letter 1" on 8th Ave. in Ybor City. She says at Red Letter 1, however, you have to come in with an original idea. My daughter (now that I've gotten used to them) has had beautiful work done at the Blue Devil by Jennifer Lynn, you may want to check out her work.
