My friends and I Will be coming down to the bowl game in Tampa on New years day. We are looking to book a hotel near the bulk of the bars in Tampa. We are all in our early to mid twenties and would like to celebrate new years eve down there at a few bars. Where are the bulk of the bars in Tampa? Can someone suggest a hotel near there? Thanks

Default Ybor City

hey luv...im a club hopper that lives in the Tampa. Your best bet for the New Years club scene would probally be Ybor City. Theres are two hotels that are right off the "7th ave strip" which is ybor city...one is a hampton inns and the other is a hilton. I would suggest booking now if you want a room in those hotels. 7th ave strip is a street that is full of nothing but clubs and restuarants that turn into clubs duing the weekend and on special events. Hope this helps!

Yes, Y'Bor would be the place to be! Just to put a number on "full of" I'd say there's AT LEAST 50 places! I would also start doing some research into if the more popular places were selling tickets for New Years...

Most popular place I've seen is Gaspar's Grotto...Also Coyote Ugly seems pretty packed as well.

If you are staying for a few days might want to check out downtown st pete as well.

You didn't tell us your budget, but you might check into Marriott Waterside and also Wyndham Harbour Island. I doubt they have any vacancies this late in the game.
