Hey guys,

My fiance and I are planning to get married on Clearwater Beach, which is very special to us. How is the weather in the month of March? We would rather it not be smoking hot with no chance for hurricanes, but would like to be able to get in the water as well.

I've done research, but I was curious of those are there/live there during that time of year.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Averages are mid 70's during the day and mid 50's at night.
It can still get very cool in March but usually won't get too hot, record high in March I think is 87.
Depending on what you are used to you may be able to go in the gulf but I know for me it would be too cold. I really hate cold so don't use me as an example.
Water temps should be in the high 60's that time of year.

Thanks Mike! That's what I needed to know. Coming from MI, that would be great (but I love the change of seasons).

Make sure you have a back up plan in case it rains, as we do still get cold fronts in March. As Mike said, the water temps will most likely be in the upper 60's, but so far this winter its been quite chilly (for florida standards) lately and the gulf is already 64 degrees.

typically march is going to be a good month for a beach wedding here. lower chances of rain, decent temps and usually not to humid. of course the closer to the end of the month the more all of your chances of heat, rain and humidity go up.
