Does anyone know any good music/guitar shop in Tampa? I need to put new strings on my acoustic guitar and also want to buy some amplifier. Please suggest a good shop

So there's really no mom and pop type guitar shops there? Tampa is a huge mecca for certain types of music and studios, im really suprised if there isnt dozens of stores around.

Down here in Seminole is a pretty large Mom/Pop at the intersection on Park and Seminole. Good guys in there - very friendly old school rocker dudes. Sorry I forgot the name, but it is behind the Hess on the SE corner in the strip mall. Might be called "Seminole Music". I think their stuff might be a little over priced as far as guitars, but they have a lot of equipment.

Please don;t go to Guitar Center Walmart - support local businesses not China.

Agree.

It is called Seminole Music and Sound. They are at 10720 74th Ave. N. Suite F. It is in the intersection of Seminole and Park Blvd. They are great, very friendly and just an all round awesome staff. Ive purchased a dean acoustic/electric guitar from them about a year ago and they threw in a case, a t-shirt and a pack of 16 picks in for free with it! I still go to Guitar Center every now and then, but just to hang out and mess around on their drumsets. I would only purchase form them if Seminole Music dosent have what I really want!

Thumbs up Yes, there is a great guitar store in Tampa.

I realize this thread is old, but it still keeps coming up so it's worth addressing.
Replay Guitar Exchange opened in August of this year. It's located at 3944 Britton Plaza in South Tampa, which is off South Dale Mabry Hwy. It's independently owned by a really great person, Kyle Bailey. Replay sells new, pre-owned and vintage guitars and amps. They have all the best brands including Fender, Gibson, Martin and Taylor, and also many other lesser-known brands that guitar players love. The store is huge, 6,000 square feet, and there are over 600 guitars on site. They have a whole room dedicated to bass guitar, an acoustic guitar room and a sound-insulated amp room so you can bring your guitar in and crank it up. Their staff is friendly and very knowledgeable. Vintage specialist Kent Sonenberg is one of the best in the business. They do repairs and teach lessons on site, too. Check it out, but be sure to allow some time so you can see everything. It's truly a playground for guitar players and those who hope to be. You can reach them at 813-254-8880 or ReplayGuitar.com.

I'm sure the OP found a set of guitar strings in the last 8 years.
