It depends if you can afford the beach or not. The commute from the South Beaches into Downtown St. Pete is pretty easy.

The Countryside Mall in northeast Clearwater is a nice mid-level mall, also Citrus Park on the north side of Tampa.

Are you trying to imply that Clearwater is "hood" or something?

People from the hood will often automaticaly assume their whole city is hood.

Just as NYC is not all Harlem of Bronx, there are only some cities that are ALL "hood" lol, and Clearwater is not one of them.

I live in Clearwater now and love it. I lived in Pasco and drove to Largo to my job for 10 years. After my divorce I got a 2 bedroom apartment in Clearwater, closer to US19.

I would love to find a Loft, type residence downtown. BUT everything I see of that type is down in StPete.

Any Lofts in Clearwater?

These types of places (I realize this is another city, but google does wonders) - http://www.loftplace.com
This is a expensive loft in St Pete - http://stpetelofts.com

- Greenwood isn't even as bad as I had heard.... I was even going to buy a cheap building there and open up a barbershop, but it sold before I lined up my finances.

I can't think of any lofts in Clearwater. There really isn't much in the way of residential buildings in Downtown Clearwater, I think. You know, I never really paid much attention.

Greenwood certainly isn't the best area, but it's hardly "no go" territory. The worst I guess are the blocks surrounding the projects. I've never felt threatened around there. I mean, it's Clearwater.

Look up attendance records for the Rays and it'll give you a good idea how big of a sports area you're moving to.
